Many cats were let out of the bag during the Arrow segment of this year’s Warner Bros. /DC television panel at Comic Con. Right out of the gate fans were treated to an amazing thank you speech from Stephen Amell in his new Green Arrow costume. How great is that! Everyone was then treated to a recap video which spanned the time of Team Arrow’s evolution through to the teams trials with Ra’s Al Ghul which you can see below.
Throughout the panel, many of the producers and actors spoke about how long they had waited for the series to evolve to this point and how excited they were for their characters, themselves and their fans in terms of the direction the show would be going into. In this fourth season, we will finally see Oliver Queen become the sharp tongued, quick-witted man that we have been waiting for. Along with a new costume, his city will also be getting a new name. Starling City will now be referred to as Star City going forward in the series. The reason for this change is unclear. Thea and John Diggle will finally be joining the costume club too. In season four, Thea will be working officially as Speedy on Team Arrow. During the panel discussion, Willa Holland who portrays Thea, became somewhat emotional a she spoke about the honor and her excitement about the opportunity to finally be an integral part of the team. And while John Diggle won’t be getting a complete costume he will be sporting an Atom-like helmet in the show. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that we would be seeing new heroes and villains this season as well.
Who would have guessed that there would be so many new things to look forward to? The writers, actors and producers have done such an amazing job so far that you just can’t help but be excited of this next season of Arrow. With Arrow, The Flash and the much awaited Legends of Tomorrow that DC Television is bringing us, it’s a great time to be a Superhero fan!
