Marvel and Netflix have finally made it official: Daredevil will indeed return to Netflix for its third season.
Much to the elation of the series’ fans, Joe Quesada made the announcement during one of Marvel’s panel sessions at San Diego Comic Con where he also spoke about other projects such as Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Though fans are happy that the vigilante series will be seeing a junior year, they may not be too happy about its premiere date which wasn’t actually given. Daredevils third season was expected to air by the Spring of 2017. But during the same panel discussion, Charlie Cox confessed to the crowd that the new season would in fact be delayed due to the Defenders project which is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2017. Defenders will include Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, so fans will be able to get their fix from that film. Fans of the Jessica Jones series are in the same boat as filming for its second season won’t be starting until after filming for the Defenders project has wrapped. If nothing else the fans of both series’ will learn the art of patience whether they want to or not.
