Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, has dropped the new release date for her much anticipated sequel, Wonder Woman 1984!
Patty Jenkins’ follow up to the super-successful film, Wonder Woman, has moved it’s release date up from November 1st, 2019 and is now scheduled to premiere on June 5th, 2020. Which is great news for us fans!
Gal Gadot broke this great piece of news on social media.
Jeff Goldstein, WB’s President of Domestic Distribution has been quoted as saying,“We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did. This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”
Gal Gadot will return as everyone’s favorite Amazon Princess, as well as original film co-star Chris Pine. It’ll be interesting to see how they bring Pine back into the franchise since his character, Steve Trevor, died in the first film. Also coming along for the ride this time around are newcomers include Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig.
How would you all like to see Chris Pine return? Let us know.
