DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will hint at a possible Doom Patrol connection in the February 11th episode, when the time-leaping team stops by the ’80s and encounters the beautiful, Russian nuclear scientist Valentina Vostock (Stephanie Corneliussen).
Comic book readers will know Vostock as a former member of the Soviet Air Force who acquired powers from the deceased member of the Doom Patrol, Negative Man, during an attempt to defect to the United States. Vostock would go on to become Negative Woman in a newly formed version of the Doom Patrol team.
The title, “White Knights,” may be giving a nod to the character’s post-Doom Patrol career in the comics. As the White Queen, Vostock was one of the leaders of Checkmate, the DCU’s premiere secret agent organization.
