As Gotham moves into its second season, it’s clear to see by these new posters and images from THR, that the villains, old and new, are on the move with all guns blazing and the “Bat” is in the air.
I’m glad to see that the series is finally giving us more “substantial” glimpses into to the future of young Bruce Wayne. Even though we all know where the character will end up and who he will ultimately become, I truly think that the audiences needed to see a little more of that to keep them tuning back in each week. Without enough of these references, Gotham comes off more like a quirky crime drama than anything else. And the characters in their early years are just not interesting enough for the avid Bat-fan.
But enough of that. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I’m going to let them do the talking. But I just have to say that I’m loving the rockin’ Bat-motif in these posters. Subtle, yet distinctive.
The new images below feature new actors James Frain (True Detective) as Theo Galavan, “a billionaire who claims to want to save the city from itself,” and the lovely and deadly Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Tabitha Galavan, who’s playing the role of Tigress. With all of these villains running around, I’m thinking that we’re going to eventually need a hero or two to balance things out. Or at least one good one. Any suggestions?
Gotham airs on FOX on September 21st.
