Wonder Woman 1984 isn’t even close to being completed and we’re even further from its release, but director Patty Jenkins already has her sights set on a third installment for the Amazon Princess.
“I have pretty clear plans for Wonder Woman 3,” Jenkins remarked in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. “Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that.”
Jenkins didn’t provide any details as to what direction her story arc will be taking Diana or where it will “end”. With trilogies as common place as they are in Hollywood, it’s no real surprise that Wonder Woman‘s story would span across this many films.
And, although Wonder Woman 1984’s premiere is still somewhere far off on the horizon, there’s no doubt it will be equally successful for both Warner Bros. and Jenkins. So, the likelihood of a third film, is a bit of a no brainer.
Wonder Woman 1984 hits theatres on June 5th, 2020.
