Jon Watts’ critically acclaimed Spider-Man: Far From Home continues to hit it out of the park by once again taking the top spot in theaters world-wide.
So far here at home, the highly anticipated sequel has grossed $185.1-Million in just six days from 4,634 NA theaters. In just this past long holiday weekend the film amasses an impressive $93.6-Million.
If we do the math and add in the $395-Million that the film brought in from overseas, this newest installment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is closing in on the $600-Million mark with it’s current total of $580.1-Million worldwide.
The film is currently performing better than initially expected, which is undoubtedly some welcome news for the struggling summer box office. Many predicted blockbusters from a number of high profile franchises have fallen short of expectations this year, but it looks as though Spider-Man: Far From Home has begun to steer things back in the right direction.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opening weekend paled in comparison with a $117-Million pull.
The film stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cobie Smulders, Zendaya and picks up immediately where Avenger: Endgame leaves off.
