As this season’s DC TV crossover event, Elseworlds, inches closer and closer to it’s premiere date, we’re getting intel on it in drips and drabs. Images? Well, we’ve got shit tons of those. Juicy intel? Yeah, not so much. The CW is doing a great job of managing the details being disclosed about the event. And rightfully so because from what we know and have seen so far clearly indicates that it’s going to be one of the most, if not the most, exciting and ambitious productions to date. And that is primarily due to the choices of characters that have been selected from the pages of DC Comics that will be making their live-action debut.
Now, as if there weren’t already enough characters selected to make this event amazing, another classic character has been added to the star studded roster to appear during the three-night extravaganza.
Bob Frazer, the chisel chinned actor from The 100, has been chosen to join the lineup and will portray the Psycho-Pirate. He’ll appear in episodes two and three and be encountered within Arkham Asylum – although it is unclear who’ll be crossing paths with the villain when the time comes.
Again, specific plot details are scarce, but we do know that nefarious activities taking place at Arkham Asylum will attract the interest of the Arrowverse heroes and will ultimately bring them to Gotham City. I don’t know about you, but I get shivers every time I think about Gotham being the setting for this multi-hero adventure. Too cool!
To date, the cast consists of Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin , Melissa Benoist with Tyler Hoechlin again in the role of Superman. Newcomers to the Arrowverse are Ruby Rose as Batwoman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jeremy Davies as John Deegan and Cassandra Amell (Stephen’s wife) as Nora Fries. I ask you, could it come any closer to being a Justice League story? Not much.
The three night crossover event airs December 9th to December 11th.
